So I do know I have already written a blog entry today, I’m such a blog whore, shoot me. But this made me too excited not to blog about. I told you guys in an earlier entry about a photography contest I entered on Gakke’s blog, and tonight I found out that I was the winner! How awesome is that?! I don’t tend to win stuff like that, so I am very, very happy and excited about it. This is what she wrote about it, and I’m translating.

The reason for choosing this picture is because it has a certain peace within it. It’s original. It is obviously something I see every day, but after having seen this picture I realized how nice it can actually be, and that sometimes you have to think that the good moment is now, not tomorrow, not in a week, but rather find something nice to focus on and gather your thoughts a bit. The picture is so plain, but it wakes a very good feeling of peace within yourself. An early Monday morning where you get ready to go to work or school. You sit down, after stressing around to get showered, dressed and ready, for then to take 5 minutes just sitting there in silence, thinking about nothing. “The good moment is often now, we just realize it too late”

Shopping spree

This weekend has been good. Yesterday I went to Trondheim with my family to do some shopping. Was great being all of us again doing something together, it has been awhile. Things change when the daughters of the family moves out!

My dad and little brother took off on their own, going to some butch guy stores, while the women aka mum, Monica and meself, ran to the closest clothing stores to find. We ended up spending loads of time at H&M, in two different malls! We were trying on tons of clothes, me being maybe slightly more experimental than the other two.

Even trying on loads of clothes I ended up buying… nothing! I had around £40, and when I got home I still had around £40. I guess Trondheim, Norway, isn’t the same as Wolves, England. My sister on the other hand spent quite the amount, so did my mum.

So yeah, I really could have needed James darling to be there, helping me spend money. Or IdaPida, she seems to know what to say to make me spend haha. I kinda love her for it, tho my bank account don’t. The issue Wardrobe vs Bank Account, Wardrobe wins, fair play.

Also, I know my last blog entries have been kinda filled with loads of pics, and less chattering, I’ve taken loads of pictures lately. I just want some feedback on that, is it a good thing or bad? I want to know what you prefer, so I can try to fulfill your blog needs lol

Alice In Wonderland

I am soooooo excited about the upcoming Burton-Depp collaboration, whenever they work together, they make something epic. I have all my faith in Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, already feeling this might end up as one of my fave movies, as the Burton-Depp movies tend to become. Edward Scissorhand, Sleepy Hollow & Sweeney Todd is all amongst my all time favorites, and I don’t mind adding another to the list. The part of Alice is played by the australian actress Mia Wasikowska. Johnny Depp of course plays the Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter plays the evil Red Queen, Anne Hathaway the lovely White Queen. Alan ­Rickman plays the Caterpillar, Matt Lucas (Little Britain) plays Tweedledum and Tweedledee while Stephen Fry is the Cheshire Cat, and Christopher Lee the Jabberwock.

This is bound to be good!

Yesterday I went to my sister Monica for a sister-night in, with Singstar, movies, candies and photo shoots. It was a fun night, haven’t had proper sister quality time in ages.

Photography Contest

I was searching around different blogs when I came across this blog entry about a photography contest, and as a photography sprout as I am, I figured I would join. Since I’m at my sisters at the moment, comments and pictures from that will come later, I don’t have all my pictures here as they are at home. Problem is that I’m bored and want to do this now. So I’ll just have to choose to enter this themeless contest with one of my photographs I can track down from the world wide internet.

From the untagged photos I could find of mine, I chose my favorite, one I’ve already posted on here so it’s not all that exciting for you loyal readers of my blog. But at least now you know about the contest, and perhaps you want to join yourself? Go for it!

Tea time in Edinburgh

Jeans!

I wish I was rich or at least richer, shopping has the last year somehow managed to become one of my favorite activities. It really is true that a girl can never get enough. Enough sunglasses, enough bags, enough jeans etc. After reading Ida’s this weeks wishlist I checked out Forever21 myself, bad idea! In the jeans shop I found a few items I would love to belong in my own wardrobe, worst thing is that they aren’t that expensive either, not at all really. Scary, I might end up buying it all when I get paid. I shouldn’t. I should save, save, save. Maybe just one?

If I were to buy one, which one do you reckon I should go for?

2 million camels

That was the biggest offer me and Ida got from the locals who wanted to buy us. Unfortunately for them, we were too expensive. So now I am back home in Norway, it is cold compared to Hurghada, Egypt, and it’s been raining. The sun however just peeked in through the window, but it has got nothing on the boiling sun down in Africa. Despite the crappy weather here up north it is kinda good being home again as well, no annoying egyptian men who wants to sell us stuff or buy us. Never ever have I felt more like a piece of meat circled by a flock of hungry Hyenas as I did walking the streets of Hurghada. That has got to be the only thing I won’t miss. Everything else were pretty much none the less epic, and the hotel we stayed in, the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel had earned their 5 stars well.
