Hello from Wolverhampton

First of all, just want to thank you all on your wishes for me to have a nice trip over to my second home, and I can gladly assure you that the trip went well. No luggage lost, no getting too late and no crashing neither bus nor plane. So yeah, nice trip, tho long. We started off early yesterday morning, 7 am to be exact and weren’t in Wolverhampton before slightly past 8 pm. The first thing we did, after dragging our suitcases up those narrow stairs in our cute, little house, was to head off to ASDA and get some food. Oh how I have missed my ASDA <3 After eating, we quickly went to bed, seeing as we were both pretty exhausted.

Today we got up quite early, went into town, first stop Zaks. I got myself an appointment like right away, leaving Ida walking around town alone for well a few hours poor thing, while I was getting all pretty on my head. Then it was time for New Look, our favorite place to be. Didn’t end up with awfully lot tho, kind of a surprise I know. But fear not, I did buy not one, but two pair of shoes.

Yes, I will be able to walk in them!!

Yes, I will be able to walk in them!!

Ida got the same ones only in black

Ida got the same ones only in black

Met up with Lizy after chatting to this Sky bloke Gavin, about getting a sky box, which we ordered, then we went for food. Me, Lizy and Ida that is, Gavin didn’t join us, tho I wouldn’t have minded if he did haha. Went home after that to get ready for the concert, watched a bit of Friends then me and Lizy headed off to the Civic just in time for the doors to open. Getting there at 7 pm, doors opening at 7 pm, you would think we would end up in the back. Nah, not me and Lizy, second row baby! And even better, when Lostprophets got on, I somehow got front row. Liking it. Was a great gig indeed.

Now me and Ida are gonna get to bed, Lizy sleeping in my room. Birmingham for pies and shopping tomorrow, can’t wait.

Love from England, dodgy internet means not that much blogging atm, will be fixed!

Work, food, love & lust

Today at work was awful. Well not awful really, but stressful none the less, and omg how happy I am about the fact of it now being weekend. Mondays off at work ain’t happening no more, so this weekend will go by like shoooosh, and before I know it I’ll be back to cleaning houses and oldies. Ironic yay there. But at least there’s only 4 weeks left working, before I can hand in my ugly, blue uniform and say adios for now, that will be a good day. A very good day.

After work was good tho, drove my lovely scooter to Levanger to visit Monica and Erlend. We went to a chinese restaurant for dinner, had some great food, which after we were too full to be true, to make it better we then went by the store to buy snacks for later. Played some Mario Cart Wii before watching 17 Again, while stuffing in on chips and chocolate.

Sighs...

Sighs...

Tomorrow it’s July 25th, meaning it’s exactly a month left here up north. A month from now, August 24th I’ll be a mess, stressing around to make sure I’ve packed everything, and knowing myself I’ll still be packing at this hour of the day. I’m lazy when it comes to cleaning and packing. Oh how I can’t wait to get started tho, I’m loving it. I fear I’ve got way too much stuff to bring back to Wolves, loads more than when I first moved there!!

Oh how I miss my town...

Oh how I miss my town...

Last thing I’m gonna mention in this wicked blog entry, is that before christmas I’m gonna get to see not 1, not 2 but 4! of my fave bands live! That’s what I call good times. Not for my bank account tho.. Wops!

I'm kinda excited!

I'm kinda excited!

Out drinking again tomorrow night then? Not sure yet.

Payday!

I got my first paycheck today and that meant me and my wonderful bessie miss IdaPida could finally order some flight tickets home to Sunny, beautiful Wolverhampton, and boy does it feel good to be done with that. Now I can just sit back, relax and wait for end August to arrive. It feels great. So we are leaving morning August 25th, and that happens to be the day before Lostprophets are playing in… Wolvo! Me and miss Lizy therefore booked us some tickets off seatwave as the concert was sold out. So glad we were able to get them. What makes it even better is that I know that Camilla, Monica and Ida all will envy me for that, mwahahaha *read evil laughter sound*

Excited much?

Excited much?

Do you have anything you are proper excited about nowadays?

I felt like blogging

That’s what I’m doing now. It’s going to be quite random (like that’s anything new) ’cause I’m not really sure what to write about. I guess we’ll find out as I keep going.

It’s kind of embarrassing, seeing yourself on so darn many videos on youtube, like here stuffing my face with pizza and showing off some killer moves, while relaxing on a sofa, on stage with McFly playing a Girls Aloud song called The Promise. Tho, I somehow keep linking this vid everywhere like Nettby, Dougiefied and Facebook even. Some may say I think it’s ubercool being in it, knowing so many people would kill to be there. Honestly, it is… It’s only when I see stuff like that I start to think about what actually happened to me on Tuesday. And the song, I love it. Only the cover McFly does, I don’t like the crappy original.

One of the highlights was a cover version of Girls Aloud’s Christmas hit The Promise which was a big improvement on the original.

That’s freaking awesome that is.

My 15 minute fame in the media;

Exactly 24 minutes later, an unsuspecting VJ was escorted on to the set and into the glare of the spotlight to a crowd chanting his name. After he had made his exit, two members of the audience were invited on to the stage to devour the pizza.

After getting a couple of pizza girls on stage to tuck in, Tom, Danny and Dougie continued to leap around with boundless energy and to sing superbly.

I promise, I’m done spazzing over this now. It gets old.

Me and Magda skipped the lecture today, but hold on before telling us off, we did go in to uni and did do uniwork! We both got our two prints for the Still Life assignment done, and boy that feels great. I even quite like my prints, don’t know if John and Susan will tho, but whatever. Tomorrow I don’t really have to go in to uni, as Su’s in Copenhagen, but yes miss goodie girl here is going in anyway. Me and Madzzz are gonna work on our Friday project, hoping to get at least some done.

Bah, camping for mcfly have messed up my sleeping habits. I’m tired like 10pm and awake before 8, something’s wrong!!

Saturday

And what a day it was.
Finally we were going to see You Me At Six again, and on our way there, sitting on the train like we often do, we both agreed that if we didn’t meet any of them, we’d be a bit down about it. But when we came outside the 02 Academy, we kinda started doubting the chances of meeting them, seeing as there were so GOD DAMN MANY PEOPLE THERE!! The queue went pretty much all around the building I swear. And the venue was big. Me and Ida just decided to sit on the other side and wait instead of queueing as we weren’t fussed about getting near the front anyway. It was cold.

Finally inside and the first thing I do is to spot Matt. So I as discreetly as possible mentioned to Ida, as no one else had seemed to notice him just yet. We got our pictures taken with him, and gave him Norwegian Milk Chocolate.

memat

Yeah, we’d be a nice-looking couple, I’m working on it.

Walking around waiting for the gig to start we met Kayla and SammIE, and they told us about the after party, a golden opportunity to meet the rest of the band. The concert itself was great, somehow we got pushed almost to the front on one of the sides, which I’m not complaining about. Got some great pictures. Then we moved to the other side where I got one kick-ass epic picture of Josh. Check it out on my website. After the concert we got all evacuated for some reason. After waiting outside for ages, freezing, Kayla sweet-talked to some guards and somehow we got gold wristbands and got to go in before the rest of the queue.  How awesome is that?! We saw Matt pretty much everywhere, and I also saw Max once, after that he disappeared. We ignored Dan like we so often do, poor guy I don’t know why, he’s pretty fit! But Kayla wanted to talk to Josh, and well, that was our chance to talk to him as well. So we did, mentioning that we were Norwegian and also went to the Wolves gig last fall, he seemed to remember us saying and I quote “Oh I remember, you went to the after party as well didn’t you?” And yes, we did. He couldn’t remember to say I love Norwegian fans anymore tho.

mejosh

Then we saw Matt some more, and that merch guy, Henri was it?, who also claimed to remember us. Later real randomly some guy walked over to me and asked me if I liked America, I said yeh, and he asked me where I was from. I said Norway, just to get this reaction; “NO WAY! I’m from Denmark!!” And it turned out that his name was Jonas and he plays in one of the support acts Emarosa, which was pretty cool. So we got a picture taken with him as well. Matt turned up, again, and this time Jonas brought him over to us saying “they’re from Norway!” and Matt went like “NORWAY!” Haha. He said the chocolate was terrific.

So yeah, it sure was a great night, worth those £30 we paid for the taxi back to Wolves.

Today’s been a good day

Today I got up early, because today was the day we could finally buy our tickets for McFly’s Up Close……But This Time It’s Personal tour, and so we did. I got the standing tickets for Wolverhampton (YES THEY ARE COMING BACK TO MY TOWN AND THIS TIME I LIVE HERE TO ENJOY IT!!!!) not happy about that at all and Ida got our seated tickets for Leicester. The way it seems now, Wolverhampton is the opening night for sure, which means I can’t read spoilers before the gig, jippi! Aaaand Leicester seems atm to be the last date, which means we get to finish off the tour with our guys as well! Pretty amazing, and believe it or not, I am soooo looking forwards to it. I mean, this is why I moved to Wolverhampton, to see McFly perform at the civic! Hahaha not really, but it wouldn’t surprise you would it? hihi

dougiesingblack

They are at the moment back in Australia, to enjoy the sun, the beach and the warmth that England can’t provide. There are also some rumors about them recording a new album there as well, who knows. We will just have to wait and see. The Radio:ACTIVE DVD from Wembley is out May 11th which I’m really excited about. I was almost front row on that one (Meaning standing right behind the person front row who was shorter than me) so therefor I might be on it!! I’m not sure if I want to be or not tho. If I’m there I probs look like a total maniac with a Norwegian flag, and I would wish I wasn’t there. If I’m not on it, I would be kinda disappointed. Tricky subject.

I have also been a good girl and cleaned my room today, something that was highly necessary some would say. Now you can actually see the floor!! I have a carpet!! :O It will feel so great going to bed in clean and fresh sheets.

img_2433

My bed is love to be honest.

Right now I’m trying to write a standalone for Ida’s standalone contest, it doesn’t go too well, but at least I’ve got more than two sentences now. She really wants me to write it, so I am trying. FOR YOU IDA! For you…

And last, I’m sorry I didn’t come to yours last night Monica, I got lost on my walk to you and had to ride a moose back to Wolves. It was kinda scary, but Hulberg the Moose was a real gentleman!

Thinking about the future..

..and what I want from it. I have known for quite some time now what I wanna work with when I’m done at Uni and all that shit, obviously a photographer. A live music photographer to be exact. So I have put up my own photography page on MySpace, with my own domain to make it all seem a bit more professional; click HERE to go see it, if you have MySpace add and comment ^^ I have also been mailing a few venues as well as a few bands about the possibility to get press passes for concerts.  So far 1 reply, better than none eh? It was Dave from Reemer who were kind enough to answer me.

“hey Renate (what a beautiful name btw!) I’m sure they’ll be no problem with that! I think the best thing to do is to email our manager (Lindy) at…(email address removed) and she;ll be able to sort it out for ya i’m sure! If she doesn’t get back to you, let me know and i’ll harass her about it! Thanks for thinking of us! it’ll be wicked to see ya!
Dave. xx”

Now I just have to wait and see what Miss Lindy has to say..
*fingers crossed*

Radio:Active tour – Part 2

22.11.08 Manchester.

Me and Ida met up with Ali and Amy at the train station in Wolverhampton where we took the train to Manchester. Ali took us straight down to the hotel McFly usually stays at, where there already where a group of McFly fans, who could tell us that they had already seen Harry and Tom walk out. So we were standing there quite some time waiting for them to come back. First Harry came, with his girlfriend. He stopped and talked to fans, while Izzy took the bags and walked inside. Then some guy came out and said he had to come inside, but Harry said he would come back out later, and I asked him “do you promise?” And he said “Yeah, I’ll come back later” He lied! But gosh he was fit in that hoodie. Then Tom came back with his family after lunch, and I got a picture with him. So adorable he is. He was in a hurry tho, so he had to leave pretty much straight away.

tomandme-1

Night-time and gig-time! We had a great view from where we were sitting, looking down at Dougie *big grin* I actually think we saw better than Sarah and Chelle who sold us the ticks coz they had “better” seats! We say Olivia and Izzy there, they were sitting in the same block as us. Both of them real stunners in real life, but then again, look at the boyfriends. Go figures. Absolute amazing gig, great vibe and what not. Loved it alot lot.

25.11.08 Glasgow

After sitting outside the the hotel for a while, we just couldn’t be bothered anymore, they wouldn’t come out. Hell, we didn’t even know if it was the right one! (It was) So we just did whatever to make the time go by, wandering around the city of Glasgow. After some stress concerning some tickets I won for the Nokia Green Room Christmas Special to see McFly, me and Ida managed to get two extra tickets, and I called my lovely pig to ask her so kindly if she wanted to go with us. After some breathing difficulties and freaking out, she finally said yes. Just hearing her excitement almost made me cry. I love her that much.

Then the night time came and guess what? McFly time! Awesomeness. Me and Ida set off to the SECC Arena, just to figure out that we didn’t actually know where it was.. But we got some help by a nice Scottish mumbler so we did indeed find the place, and boy oh my, our excitement grew from WOH! to WOOOOOOOOOYAH! Which is kinda cool. Got in and found our seats. Amazing seats! (Thanks to me myself *smiles proudly*) 4th row on the lovely Tom Fletcher’s side isn’t anything to brag about.. Kidding, BRAG! The two mongises was really working it right from the support acts, and when our fave Reemer song came on, we sang along so loud and false you wouldn’t believe it. And what now? Danny bloody hell came on, singing our song, our Clouds, and hell he was fit! Suddenly everyone were up on their feet, go figures. bloody fantastic. Then grinning as the Baywatch tune came on, it’s McFly’s time to shine.

Do I even have to tell you how wicked it was? Pictures says more than a thousand words.

Part 3 later on. The best part.

Radio:Active tour – Part 1

dfers

Last night was the first night of me and Ida’s Radio:Active tour adventure, and it was bloody hell brilliant. Dressed up once again as our alter-ego’s, Wonderwoman and Batwoman, we went down to the LG Arena (Previously knows as the NEC), ready to have a great time. We didn’t see either of the support acts, not that we cared lol, to meet up with a bunch of Street-teamers and we also hung out a bit with the cute Katie and Dagmar. It was really great to meet them, so nice. Also met Chelle and Sarah :D

dougietag1

We also saw Carrie, she’s tall! And then I had a tiny teenie spazz when I saw Sam.. “OMG, my future mother-in-law is standing right behind you!” I said to Ida in a major star-struck state. Hell, it’s not often I see the woman who made the most perfect thing ever, stand right in front of me! As we found our seats, Block D, row Q, seats 9 and 10, we realized just how close we where to the bstage. Excited!

dannytag1

When they were on the main stage, I mostly took pictures of the big screen as we were a bit far back, but that didn’t matter, got some really nice ones anyway. The crowd was amazing, everyone singing along to the songs and the energy was just awesome tbh. The Tranny version they played was maybe the best version I have heard of that song, and Dougie boy, he has improved his singing hasn’t he?! Oooh, me like. Then the flying stage came down, it was time for Star Girl and flying over to the bstage.

mcflytag11

At this point my camera was my best friend, I got amazing pictures of the guys on their way over and when they got on the bstage. So close to us the four amazing guys were, just.. just brilliant. I took at least about 400 – 500 pictures during their three or what now songs they played there, and boy I love it. Dougie, Harry and Tom ran back to the main stage and Danny stayed on the bstage, as it was time for a cover, Michael Jacksons Black or White. The intro for it, was a nice little Dougie video, causing me to make a few funny noises..

dougietag2

Danny Jones did the song justice tbf, it was a great cover and seeing him move around without his guitar was kinda weird, but oh my how sexy.. It wasn’t hard to see he was enjoying it himself, grinning, dancing and singing he did. As he ran over to the main stage, Antony from V did the rapping part, rather good me reckons (he also does backup singing, standing behind my man on stage) and Danny finished it off. Great it was.

mcflytag3

All in all the night was just the best, loved every second of it and can’t wait to see them again next Saturday in Manchester.
