Why is it that I can’t wait to get packing weeks before I have to, then when the time comes and I really do have to, I find myself too lazy to bother? Which is kinda weird, considering just how excited I am about going back to my lovely Wolverhampton. At the moment I am sat yawning, haven’t really slept much at all in such a long time, so tomorrow I am gonna try and force myself to a proper lay-in, knowing I probably will wake up around 8 – 9 am. It is the cause of working 12 weeks this summer that has ruined my sleep routine. Before I was pretty good at this sleep thing, when not having to get up early could easily sleep ’till 11 am. Now I am lucky if I make it to 9.
Went out last night, partying in the park with my awesome mates. That was the last shalabang before me and my housemate take off into the big, wide world outside the walls of Norway. It’s kind of impressive how drunk I can get from so little. Because drunk – that I was!
I should try and become slightly more representable now, seeing as we are going to Monica and Erlend, to celebrate his birthday. I look like a crack-whore who has just woken up in the gutter. Not my best look.
So long!

Friends and work and such

Thursday night IdaPida, Ida and meself drove out to Levanger to visit my sister Monica and her boyfriend Erlend. You know, for a last little get together before me and IdaPida head back to Wolves on Tuesday. I even brought Erlend a birthday pressie, seeing as it is his birthday TODAY(!), and I had no idea that the family are gonna go see them tomorrow to celebrate. My parents don’t tell me shit. So for me it turned out it wouldn’t be the last time I saw them before I leave afterall, but for Ida this was the case. Had a proper nice time with pizzas and candy (once again too bloody much), while watching a rather amusing film called My Best Friend’s Girl. I found it funny at least, laughing pretty much throughout the film. I blame the sugar for my awfully happiness, tho being happy is a good thing ain’t it. Then Monica had a picture show for us, showing us photos from her and Camilla’s trip to Rhodes. Seemed like a nice little holiday there, but it was no Egypt.. Haha.

Yesterdee was my last day at work, so we had a proper nice lunch with muffins that Christine made, apple cake of my creation and sandwiches that our boss had paid for. I am not sure I have fully realized I’m not going back there in quite some time, that I don’t have to get up early Monday morning and put on my ugly, blue work clothes. As of now, it feels like weekend. And just that. But reality is I’m unemployed. 12 weeks of my summer, that place have pretty much been my summer. Weird. But glad to be done, and to go back being a student.

Now when I have posted this blog entry, I’m gonna start packing. Well I did start last Saturday, but nothing since that. So yes, it’s time to get a bit organized, my room looks like a disaster, so tidying is well needed and should come hand in hand with the packing. Music on loud and not too shabby weather outside my window should make this fun. Yes, I’m gonna enjoy this!
Holiday Away ‘09

So I came across this blog with a nice little photo challenge about highlights of your holiday away this summer. You post pictures of yourself from your holiday, with a nice little headline showing people some highlights. Tho atm I can’t seem to find the link to the blog where I found it, if I do, I’ll edit it in later on. My holiday away was in good ol’ Egypt if you remember, so here’s some highlights from that.

Success I’d say!
Bowling Queen

The lovely Camilla have finally come home for a few days before heading off to Rhodes tomorrow with my sister Monica. She lives, studies and work too far away from my likings, tho I’m not the one to talk am I, who most of the year spends her time even further away. But yeah, it has been a boring summer without this colorful, awesome girly, and I’ve missed her muchos. Yesterday I finally got to meet her again, as me, Camilla, Lise Marie and Line went bowling. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go, as I don’t really know how to, but decided to not miss this opportunity to spend some time with mates I don’t meet that often.

Camilla and me
Getting proper into it I realized bowling is actually quite fun. Even had the style for it, yeah totally. Walked up to the line, stopped, for then to throw the bowling ball, one leg proper out like I’m ice skating. At one point I even managed to drop the ball behind me, which was rather embarrassing but awfully fun. So thought the others around. But hey, I had to do something right, when I then actually threw it the right way, I got a strike!

What a style!
Who would have thought the one with the most crap style and the least experience in Bowling would win the first set?! Stocked I am, might have found my call in life, to be a professional bowler. In the second set I came second not many points behind the winner, Lise Marie.

OMG!!!
After the bowling we went to a local pizza place where we ate kebabs, ironic?
Headed off home, where Camilla joined me for a few hours of Singstar. Good night, great friends.

My outfit for the night

Yesterday I finally got some proper quality time with my ever so missed best friend Ida after I was done at work. I made some lovely Tikka Masala for dinner, we both got proper full from that. Then we surfed the net, to try find some good deals on trips to Paris, planning on going before Uni starts. But we would have to pay way too much money we really can’t afford to spend, so we threw away that idea. For now. So now it’s London calling, which should be pretty good as well. Never done the London Apple before, so this time we kinda have to!
After that was “sorted” we drove into town to buy chocolate cake, ended up with donuts, fruit and chocolate which we melted when we got home. A nice dip for the fruit, and yes. I ate too much. We ended the night recording ourselves singing, something we haven’t done in complete ages! Was a good night, and now she’s away on a tiny trip to be the audience for a TV show and see A1 perform, while I’m stuck at home working and like I am atm, sat on the balcony at home in my bikini.. It’s bloody awesome weather!!!

Spelpub and the aftermath

Last night at the Spelpub was pretty good, I’d say.
Highlights:
- Met up with old mates and some relatives even.
- Got happily tipsy, okay drunk.
- Danced (tho the guy I danced with got a hold of my number and has been texting and calling me, tho I have not replied his texts, as I don’t really want to haha, can’t even remember what he looked like!)
- When the Spelpub closed we had a drunken version of a sort of guided play in the area, very funny.
- After getting home popped a Hold It in the micro, then while waiting for it to be done almost falling asleep on the kitchen floor LOL

The lovely duo

Getting slightly tipsy

Me and brother Hovland
Woke up around 9am (in bed, not on the kitchen floor) not awfully hungover, but it was easy to tell I’ve been out drinking the night before. Had such a craving for coke, I need coke the day after! So I had to drive into town to buy some. Before shopping I stopped by Ida’s to get the party cam. Her brother was home, and boy he didn’t look like he was in his best state this morning, poor guy hungover from wine. Then on my way from Ida’s to the mall, I took a detour and went by a local beach, where I had a little photo shoot, trying out that scenery I mentioned in an earlier blog entry.

What you think?
FINALLY getting to the shopping bit. Had a proper grown up shopping trip, buying dinner for myself. Got myself the oh so longed for bottle of coke and also one spare one for tomorrow, as I might be in need for one then as well. For dinner I bought some turkey leaf beef and stuff for a salad. Was epic good I tell you, dear lord I’m amazing in the kitchen, laying down or standing, doesn’t matter!

And it's rather healthy too!
Out drinking again tonight, when I’m not completely sure. Should jump into the shower and refresh. I’m actually planning going without showing my boobs tonight! Shocker!
So what’s going on nowadays?

Yesterday my mum took the family out for dinner at our favorite restaurant in town, Siciliana, cause someone had gotten paid haha. I was crazy enough, thinking about ordering the most expensive and luxurious thing on the menu, but somehow I ended up with a chicken kebab. After the festive meal, my mum and me walked to the big, enormous and amazing (please spot the sarcasm) shopping mall, my mum had her eyes on a top, and she wanted to try it on. So she did, and I found myself a lovely white summer dress that I tried on just for the fun of it. So turned out my mum didn’t like the top afterall, tho she did like my dress and ended up buying it. For me, not for herself. It cost her about £40, but hey, I’m so worth it right?

- My new dress

- Gorgeous dress

- Wicked jeans
propaganda much? lol
My human presence

I realize I haven’t really posted much work I’ve done for Uni here, not really sure I’ve posted any tbh, and that’s not good coming from a photographer in making! So therefor, voila!

This piece must be my favorite photograph from my first year of my bachelor in photography. The assignment was Human Presence, and I managed to turn a bunch of photographs like the one above into a project about friends, combining the pictures with quotes and make a book out of it. My quote from Jackie Chan was a big hit in my class, and believe it or not, my teacher Peter Day seemed to really like the pictures. This is huuuge as the mentioned teacher is kinda scary and sometimes brutally honest. Tho I have not been one of the unfortunate ones who has experienced that in a negative matter. Thank God!
I was in a weird state during this final crit session, feeling kinda sick mixed with being very nervous at the same time. This kinda made me be in a slight form of coma, meaning I sure as hell had nothing intelligent to contribute within the group. Mr. Day was trying to get more people to talk and say something about each others work, as only a few of the group actually talks during our crits. He said that we sooner or later had to talk anyway, not everyone could wait till the third year before opening their mouths. He then so kindly looked at me and asked me for my opinion on a piece. I panicked, having nothing to say about it, while feeling utterly sorry for myself feeling like shit, managed to reply him with something along the lines of “Yeah, I think I’ll wait till the third year before I speak”. The look on his face was priceless, but at least the group got a good laugh out of it.
This is where the awesome ending to this brilliant blog entry should be, but I’m too tired to come up with a smashing end to this. Therefor I will just end it.
It has now officially ended.
