Answers – Part 1

I got more questions than I thought I would, that made me jolly happy to be honest! So thanks guys. Also because of that I have decided to split the answers into two, just because if it gets tooooo long, no one really bothers reading the whole shabang. This means you can still come with questions until I have posted part 2. So get those Qs in now!

First up is some kickin’ questions from the lovely Sandra!

What’s your favorite piece of clothing? Starting off with a question that’s almost impossible to answer, as I have so much to choose from. Yes, you see my money is not strictly for gas and electricity with a mix of food from time to time, no here we mainly focus our attention towards city center and the shops. So how to choose, I guess picking the piece I wear the most would be kinda safe to say is among my favorites at least.

How many times a day do you HAVE to check your Facebook or blog? I’m like the biggest Facebook whore I swear, I don’t log off Facebook ever, updating my status every other hour, checking out what people are doing all day long really. Facebook isn’t just an online community, it’s a life style. So it is safe to say a few times a day at least! Haha. Same goes for my blog really, I love my blog, and I have to check it quite a few times a day, if only just to make sure it still looks pretty ^^

If you could be anywhere in the whole wide world right now, where would you be? I know this will sound saucy and be a bit of a cliche, but seriously the place I would want to be right now is at my boyfriends house with him.

Favorite food? Oh my, I’m not picky when it comes to food at all, so all the choices! Me and Ida do make a wicked home made pizza, as well as enchiladas and every kind of pasta possible really. Also love Swedish meatballs and mash. Oh and the pies from Urban Pies.. No, I can’t choose!

Then the ball is passed over to the ever so adorable Astrid Katrine, who had these questions for me;

How did you and your boyfriend meet each other? Funny story that. Our first meeting was actually almost a year ago now, last Halloween to be exact. Me and Ida, along with our friends Coral and Sarah had been out to Cheekeys, celebrating Halloween the best we could, all of us being in a rather good mood (read drunk), when we walked out of the Civic at closing time. We were gonna walk home to our house, when we noticed a guy dressed up as Tigger a bit further away, and in all our drunkeness, of course we ran over to him to look at him. While standing there, a bunch of guys came walking past and we just stopped them, talking amongst us about how fit some of the guys were, Steven being one of them. We then somehow invited the guys back to our place for an after party, that totally made our old housemate flip, but that’s a different story for another time. After that we kinda kept in touch through Facebook and met them from time to time out drinking. It is only after we came back after summer we really got to know them better, but yeah, that’s how we met.

What’s your best childhood memory? This really got me thinking back, and I must admit I have had a pretty good life with a pretty great family, so there is enough of memories to choose from. I love thinking back to all the summers spent in a caravan in Sweden, and the christmases gathering the family in the living room while me, my sister and brother was eagerly handing out pressies. But yeah, I think the best childhood memory I have must be when Odd-Levi (my baby brother) was born. I was such a proud girl then, and so pleased with it being a boy. I had said to my parents that I didn’t want another sister, so they better give me a baby brother, which they did.

What’s the biggest amount of money you have spent on a piece of clothing? I don’t tend to buy the most expensive things, I’d rather go for the cheaper option and get two! Haha. If I should try and guess, it would be about £100 maybe, not much more than that anyway.

My sister also had some questions to ask her little sister;

What’s the best thing about your big sister? First of all, epic question there Monica, thanks! The best thing about her I would have to say is that she’s very much alike me as a person, so we get along really great. Having a big sister means that no matter what happens, I will always have someone there who I know through thick and thin is gonna be there for me and back me up, who is gonna stand by my side and who won’t ever let me down. It’s like an extra best friend really, only blood related.

List 5 things you are looking forwards to?

1. Seeing my boyfriend again

2. Getting my new glasses tomorrow, pictures to come!

3. Spending the weekend with Steven and his family

4. Halloween celebration

5. Christmas, seeing my family and friends again

What’s the best thing about having a boyfriend? Being able to say to everyone I meet “I got a boyfriend!” You would think that’s the best part right, but no. I don’t know what the best part is really, ’cause it is all pretty great to be honest. Especially when it comes to my boyfriend, because he’s pretty epic, and wouldn’t want to change him for anything. I just love having someone there for me who is willing to beat the crap out of my teachers if they aren’t nice to me.

Why is it that I can’t wait to get packing weeks before I have to, then when the time comes and I really do have to, I find myself too lazy to bother? Which is kinda weird, considering just how excited I am about going back to my lovely Wolverhampton. At the moment I am sat yawning, haven’t really slept much at all in such a long time, so tomorrow I am gonna try and force myself to a proper lay-in, knowing I probably will wake up around 8 – 9 am. It is the cause of working 12 weeks this summer that has ruined my sleep routine. Before I was pretty good at this sleep thing, when not having to get up early could easily sleep ’till 11 am. Now I am lucky if I make it to 9.

Went out last night, partying in the park with my awesome mates. That was the last shalabang before me and my housemate take off into the big, wide world outside the walls of Norway. It’s kind of impressive how drunk I can get from so little. Because drunk – that I was!

I should try and become slightly more representable now, seeing as we are going to Monica and Erlend, to celebrate his birthday. I look like a crack-whore who has just woken up in the gutter. Not my best look.

So long!

Friends and work and such

Thursday night IdaPidaIda and meself drove out to Levanger to visit my sister Monica and her boyfriend Erlend. You know, for a last little get together before me and IdaPida head back to Wolves on Tuesday. I even brought Erlend a birthday pressie, seeing as it is his birthday TODAY(!), and I had no idea that the family are gonna go see them tomorrow to celebrate. My parents don’t tell me shit. So for me it turned out it wouldn’t be the last time I saw them before I leave afterall, but for Ida this was the case. Had a proper nice time with pizzas and candy (once again too bloody much), while watching a rather amusing film called My Best Friend’s Girl. I found it funny at least, laughing pretty much throughout the film. I blame the sugar for my awfully happiness, tho being happy is a good thing ain’t it. Then Monica had a picture show for us, showing us photos from her and Camilla’s trip to Rhodes. Seemed like a nice little holiday there, but it was no Egypt.. Haha.

Yesterdee was my last day at work, so we had a proper nice lunch with muffins that Christine made, apple cake of my creation and sandwiches that our boss had paid for. I am not sure I have fully realized I’m not going back there in quite some time, that I don’t have to get up early Monday morning and put on my ugly, blue work clothes. As of now, it feels like weekend. And just that. But reality is I’m unemployed. 12 weeks of my summer, that place have pretty much been my summer. Weird. But glad to be done, and to go back being a student.

Now when I have posted this blog entry, I’m gonna start packing. Well I did start last Saturday, but nothing since that. So yes, it’s time to get a bit organized, my room looks like a disaster, so tidying is well needed and should come hand in hand with the packing. Music on loud and not too shabby weather outside my window should make this fun. Yes, I’m gonna enjoy this!

Just for the record, Erlend is my sisters boyfriend, and he has been alone at home this past week when my sister and Camilla have been on holiday to Rhodes. So we invited him over to stay with us on Saturday, camping in my brothers room during the night, for so coming along with me and my daddy to pick up the two travelers at the airport today. He did not spend the night with me, if that was the impression I gave you HAHA

Sunday

Today I was gonna be awfully good, sweating out all the extra calories I consumed last night in form of chocolate (M&M’s and Maltesers), Coca Cola (in more than one form), chips and dip. Started the day okay, woke up around 8:am, had my Special K and was fully dressed and such in good time before the rest of the household started moving in their beds. BUT.. Somehow I ended up in front of my Macbook, too lazy to even bother doing any exercise at all. Making up excuses for it in my head, such as “Too early”, “Too many people around” and bladiblah. So I made up my mind about doing some serious exercise once mummy, daddy and Erlend went to get Monica and Camilla. BUT.. My mum decided to stay home, meaning there would be a free seat in the car, and of course I wouldn’t say no to a trip to the airport (CAN’T WAIT ‘TILL NEXT TUESDAY!). Camilla and Monica told us stories about their stay in Rhodes, seemed pretty pleased about the experience, which is good. Monica and Erlend came back to ours where we had Sodd for dinner. Yummy^^ Got Rhodes pressies off my sister, thank you! Then when my sister and Errrlend went back to theirs, mum and dad driving them, I finally got off my lazy bum and onto the exercise bike for an hour or so while watching LA Ink. And it felt goooooood! So now I’m sat in my room about to head to bed, after making supper for me and my parents (a lovely renolette).

That was my weekend. How was yours?

Work, food, love & lust

Today at work was awful. Well not awful really, but stressful none the less, and omg how happy I am about the fact of it now being weekend. Mondays off at work ain’t happening no more, so this weekend will go by like shoooosh, and before I know it I’ll be back to cleaning houses and oldies. Ironic yay there. But at least there’s only 4 weeks left working, before I can hand in my ugly, blue uniform and say adios for now, that will be a good day. A very good day.

After work was good tho, drove my lovely scooter to Levanger to visit Monica and Erlend. We went to a chinese restaurant for dinner, had some great food, which after we were too full to be true, to make it better we then went by the store to buy snacks for later. Played some Mario Cart Wii before watching 17 Again, while stuffing in on chips and chocolate.

Sighs...

Sighs...

Tomorrow it’s July 25th, meaning it’s exactly a month left here up north. A month from now, August 24th I’ll be a mess, stressing around to make sure I’ve packed everything, and knowing myself I’ll still be packing at this hour of the day. I’m lazy when it comes to cleaning and packing. Oh how I can’t wait to get started tho, I’m loving it. I fear I’ve got way too much stuff to bring back to Wolves, loads more than when I first moved there!!

Oh how I miss my town...

Oh how I miss my town...

Last thing I’m gonna mention in this wicked blog entry, is that before christmas I’m gonna get to see not 1, not 2 but 4! of my fave bands live! That’s what I call good times. Not for my bank account tho.. Wops!

I'm kinda excited!

I'm kinda excited!

Out drinking again tomorrow night then? Not sure yet.

Those lovely summer days

I went to Levanger, also known as ‘Slow City’ go figures, to visit Monica yesterday. We had a lovely day with awesome weather, wicked food, epic cameras and awful singing. Since indeed the weather was pleasant, we went for not one, but two walks, and of course our beloved cameras had to come with us.

For dinner we had salad with pita, I do loooove my pita, and ice tea. Then a bit later we ate strawberries, which was very yummy. We got a new high score on Shake It on Singstar, got over 9000 points, yay us! Was a lovely day indeed. For more pics and such from this day, check out my sisters blog.

This is me

My sister Monica posted a blog entry a few days ago with a list of facts about herself, like a “get to know” kinda thing, and asked other bloggers to do the same, so this is my attempt of that sort of list.

Presenting me;

First fact, I'm not completely sane

First fact, I'm not completely sane

~ My imagination sucks when it comes to lists like these, yet I tend to follow like a sheep, so excuse the none-originality.

~ I am born in end January, meaning I’m an Aquarius, or as I tend to say a Watermelon. When discovering my mistake, I then correct it by saying I’m a waterman. Sometimes a direct translation from Norwegian to English is just not right.

~ In September last year I moved to Wolverhampton, England, to study photography, something I don’t regret at all.

~ I like being alone, I need my space, yet I’m awfully easily bored and then it’s nice to have close mates around to be bored with. It’s somehow more fun being bored if you are two doing it.

~ I hate being stuck in a car with a bunch of smokers, as I meself are a none-smoker and have no plans in changing that fact.

~ I am currently watching Sleepy Hollow, but whenever it needs time to load I continue this list.

~ I’m in love with the Depp/Burton combo, and think those are the best kinds of movies ever made. ‘Cause they are just a bit over the wicked side.

~ I wish I had bigger boobs, but I love my teeth.

~ I really need to pee, but rather then going to do so, I hold it in just long enough to finish this sentence.

~ I don’t have to pee anymore. Don’t worry, I did go to the loo to do so.

~ I get proper annoyed when todou takes forever to load a movie, I’ve spent waaaay too much time on the third part of Sleepy Hollow, and I’m just not patient at all. But hell, I’m gonna finish this movie, I love it!

~ I’m wearing a pink cardigan I found in my mums closet.

~ These past facts might not be very personal, that’s how I am, I keep things to myself as it’s kind of a way to protect myself.

~ Out of my comfort zone I’ll let you in on something personal and private. The guy I like has seemed to like me back ever since we first started talking, however, now he seems to like his girlfriend more. Don’t judge me.

~ I take way too many pictures of myself, simply because I’m hoping that amongst the many, there will be at least one decent one to post on my blog.

~ Sleepy Hollow is now done, and so is this list.

Ps. Love my lovely readers!!

Payday!

I got my first paycheck today and that meant me and my wonderful bessie miss IdaPida could finally order some flight tickets home to Sunny, beautiful Wolverhampton, and boy does it feel good to be done with that. Now I can just sit back, relax and wait for end August to arrive. It feels great. So we are leaving morning August 25th, and that happens to be the day before Lostprophets are playing in… Wolvo! Me and miss Lizy therefore booked us some tickets off seatwave as the concert was sold out. So glad we were able to get them. What makes it even better is that I know that Camilla, Monica and Ida all will envy me for that, mwahahaha *read evil laughter sound*

Excited much?

Excited much?

Do you have anything you are proper excited about nowadays?

In Your Face

Lately I’ve started enjoying portrait photography more and more. I have been more into objects, macro kind of stuff before, but now I have seen the wonders of portrait photography. I didn’t like studio work much during my first year of Uni, so mixed into the feeling of that, I kind of just assumed portrait photography wasn’t anything for me. After more consideration I’ve realized that I do very much enjoy shooting people (not in a deadly way), especially when going through your images finding that some of the strongest pieces are in fact photographs of a human subject. My disliking studio work shouldn’t really have anything to say about my path onwards from here within my photography, as studio work is so much more than portrait, and portraits are so much more than studio work. Besides, I’m sure it’s more fun working in a studio when I’ve learned how to set up a set properly.

This picture was taken some time in June, at a Solhaug Sisters Slumberparty. We had a bit of a photoshoot like we tend to do. We had one last summer, so obviously we had to this summer as well. Thanks to Monica for being my model, maybe now that she has gotten her own awesome new SLR, I have to be her model.

Last note, I went to a local “beach” the other day with some friends, back in the days when the sun were still shining and the rain was just a foreign word, and as we were just about to leave I came across a great scenery for some wicked portraits. I just need to find a model.. Anyone?

Shopping spree

This weekend has been good. Yesterday I went to Trondheim with my family to do some shopping. Was great being all of us again doing something together, it has been awhile. Things change when the daughters of the family moves out!

Nice weather in Trondheim

Nice weather in Trondheim

My dad and little brother took off on their own, going to some butch guy stores, while the women aka mum, Monica and meself, ran to the closest clothing stores to find. We ended up spending loads of time at H&M, in two different malls! We were trying on tons of clothes, me being maybe slightly more experimental than the other two.

Why didn't I buy it right?

My mum laughed so hard

Even trying on loads of clothes I ended up buying… nothing! I had around £40, and when I got home I still had around £40. I guess Trondheim, Norway, isn’t the same as Wolves, England. My sister on the other hand spent quite the amount, so did my mum.

Monica is pleased with her buyings

So yeah, I really could have needed James darling to be there, helping me spend money. Or IdaPida, she seems to know what to say to make me spend haha. I kinda love her for it, tho my bank account don’t. The issue Wardrobe vs Bank Account, Wardrobe wins, fair play.

Also, I know my last blog entries have been kinda filled with loads of pics, and less chattering, I’ve taken loads of pictures lately. I just want some feedback on that, is it a good thing or bad? I want to know what you prefer, so I can try to fulfill your blog needs lol
