Hello from Wolverhampton

First of all, just want to thank you all on your wishes for me to have a nice trip over to my second home, and I can gladly assure you that the trip went well. No luggage lost, no getting too late and no crashing neither bus nor plane. So yeah, nice trip, tho long. We started off early yesterday morning, 7 am to be exact and weren’t in Wolverhampton before slightly past 8 pm. The first thing we did, after dragging our suitcases up those narrow stairs in our cute, little house, was to head off to ASDA and get some food. Oh how I have missed my ASDA <3 After eating, we quickly went to bed, seeing as we were both pretty exhausted.

Today we got up quite early, went into town, first stop Zaks. I got myself an appointment like right away, leaving Ida walking around town alone for well a few hours poor thing, while I was getting all pretty on my head. Then it was time for New Look, our favorite place to be. Didn’t end up with awfully lot tho, kind of a surprise I know. But fear not, I did buy not one, but two pair of shoes.

Met up with Lizy after chatting to this Sky bloke Gavin, about getting a sky box, which we ordered, then we went for food. Me, Lizy and Ida that is, Gavin didn’t join us, tho I wouldn’t have minded if he did haha. Went home after that to get ready for the concert, watched a bit of Friends then me and Lizy headed off to the Civic just in time for the doors to open. Getting there at 7 pm, doors opening at 7 pm, you would think we would end up in the back. Nah, not me and Lizy, second row baby! And even better, when Lostprophets got on, I somehow got front row. Liking it. Was a great gig indeed.

Now me and Ida are gonna get to bed, Lizy sleeping in my room. Birmingham for pies and shopping tomorrow, can’t wait.

So what’s going on nowadays?

Yesterday my mum took the family out for dinner at our favorite restaurant in town, Siciliana, cause someone had gotten paid haha. I was crazy enough, thinking about ordering the most expensive and luxurious thing on the menu, but somehow I ended up with a chicken kebab. After the festive meal, my mum and me walked to the big, enormous and amazing (please spot the sarcasm) shopping mall, my mum had her eyes on a top, and she wanted to try it on. So she did, and I found myself a lovely white summer dress that I tried on just for the fun of it. So turned out my mum didn’t like the top afterall, tho she did like my dress and ended up buying it. For me, not for herself. It cost her about £40, but hey, I’m so worth it right?

Tomorrow it is Vømmøl here in Verdal (my hometown if you didn’t know), the highlight of the year for so many Verdalinga (that’s what people from my hometown is called). It is a festival where we dress up as they did way back in the early days, listen to Vømmøl music and drink loads of beer. I don’t like beer, so I’ll just stick to my cider. Believe me that’s enough to get me going! Right, that was an awful explaining of Vømmøl, but you can take a look here to see for yourself what it’s all about. Besides I will probs write more about it after tomorrow, like say Sunday or something and post pics from it and such. Stayed tuned for that.

I am craving England so bad right now. I constantly nag about the ridiculous prices we have here in Norway, I miss my lovely mates and someones and uni even, I miss Cheeky Monkeys and Planet. I miss ASDA! Fit at HMV and omg New Look. Ida was browsing round on their website yesterday, linking me stuff, making me browse round there as well. I love New Look, New Look is heaven on earth. Well Wolverhampton at least. The jeans she posted on her want list blog entry I so want them. Read her blog, see the clothes, buy me jeans. She also linked me some other jeans that she did not put on her blog, wonder why, they were wicked!! Other than lovely jeans I also found a gorgeous dress, and guess what? ME WANTS IT!

When Ida’s at uni and I am bored?

Oh I know! I put on make up and take pictures of me with my new leather-gorgeous jacket! Awesome idea yeah?

Pampering day

Because me and Ida felt sorry for ourselves. 

Day started out at Uni in the black and white darkroom with Magda, getting some prints done for the friday project. Then when done, I walked into town where I met up with Ida, Sarah and Chelle, just as they were about to walk Chelle back to the train station. So toddling along we did, said byebye to her, and walked back into town for some shopping. Where to go? New Look of course! What I got in there was;

I also bought a yellow cardigan and a black top. I found some shoes, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna buy them yet. We’ll see. 

Then it was off to Primark, where I got panties, a bra and tons of socks. 
We got an appointment at the hairdressers and walked home, where Sarah finally could get us our pictures, yay!

Perfection right there I tell you.

After shizzling at home for a bit, Ida and meself got changed, and ready for dinner out. We walked with Sarah to Asda, and then the two of us headed off to Nandos for some chicken. They had a new potato mash there, it was YUM!

Then we went to Uni, yes we indeed did, but only to go online and check the cinema. Found a film to watch, had to wait for a good hour before going down to Cineworld, so we went to an Italian restaurant for dessert and a drink. We drank Mojito’s and Ida had the Tiramisu and I had the apple cake. Was sooooo good!

Then we went to see The Uninvited, which somehow turned out to be rather good. Who would have thought?!

Summertime

Summer is upon us all (YAY!!!) and going into New Look it’s easy to see what’s in fashion for the season, as the store looks rather bombarded with especially two styles, the sailor look and the western/cowboyish bohemian look, last one mentioned is my favorite out of the two. I don’t really like the sailor look, so I’ll stick to the other one. Bored as I am atm, I went onto New Looks website, searching the online catalogue, where I found quite a few things I wouldn’t mind having in my wardrobe. I put together an outfit for you, that I really like.

Checkered shirts have been in fashion for quite some time now, but it doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. I absolutely love the skirt, and the shoes are really practical, cause they go with pretty much everything. You can wear them with jeans, out shopping or with a nice dress at a summer wedding. Shoe fashion this summer are high heels, these should get those guys checking you out.

With an outfit like this you don’t really need much accessories, just add a few bracelets and a bag, and you’re ready to go enjoy a beautiful day out in the sun.

And now I’m done pretending I speak the language of fashion. Hope you like the look, I do. If it weren’t for leilighet I would go shopping right now!

Fit’s at home, Tee’s and the 27th..

In town today me and Ida went by HMV, of course, and no, there was no Fit. So we walked upstairs to where the DVD’s are and then Ida says something like “wasn’t that Fit, sitting by the buttonsthingies?” So I turn to check and oh my sweet lord, it was the back of the head to Mr. Fit. Me happy. So then we just spent quite some time in HMV, looking at and smelling him. Oh he smells good! Ida also got in touching distance with one of my future husbands. Awesome times.

Dammit the power of New Look. I walked in, found myself 4 Tee’s and guess what. I bought them. I feel ashamed. BUT to be fair, I do need more t-shirts AND I got money from my dad today. So therefor, I bought them. 

And then there’s this David and Goliath Tee my sister linked me, that I really really want. I feel that it’s meant for me!

It says “He’s got a girlfriend” under the angel one, and “who cares?” under the devil. Perfect!

It’s the 27th of February which means that I have been a non-teen for a month now, and tbh I don’t really miss the whole teenager-being-thingy I had going on for a few years. It’s ok being 20, I really don’t mind it. I still haven’t gotten my bday pressie from my grandma yet tho, I want it!

The last shopping trip in a looooong time..

Because we really need to stop spending our money on clothes and well, everything else we might want. But this time we had to, there was no other way!! Because see, Ida is having a bday party not this weekend, but the next, and the theme is the 80’s. In order to be able to dress out for it (would be stupid if we didn’t since it’s us hosting it) we had to go do some 80’s clothing shopping thiny. This is what I ended up with, and yeah, I quite like it! 

Outta control

Me and Ida went to Birmingham today to eat mash and pie, and to take pictures. We had already decided that we would not spend any more money, so that was all we would do in Birmingham. We ended up with a leather jacket each, boots and Ida also got some new jeans. Smashing as it looks, we weren’t supposed to buy anything.. Well well, I love it anyway!

Now we’re gonna get dressed in our new belongings and take a taxi to Cinema World, where we are going to drool over Jensen in My Bloody Valentine. Ciao.
