Today and then tomorrow..

It has been amazing weather in the West Midlands today, sunny and warm. This fact surprising both me and Ida, where we were walking around town, sorting out stuff. First we went by the finance building at the University of Wolverhampton, paying some tuition fees, something that really hurt my bank account, it is now in fact crying. Then we went by the international office and sorted out some other stuff, before heading to the library where we booked the hostel for tomorrow. You see, we’re heading down south, to the wonderful city of London. A few days getaway, gonna be ‘aze no doubt. So if I’m not around online much these next few days, you know why. Will be back sometime on Thursday, expect a wicked update about our trip.

Thursday hangout

I love summer...

What is the best thing about summer? For me it is the possibility of the weather being somewhat sunny and warm (I really do hate being cold), hanging out with mates, BBQ’s and drinking. √

A friend of mine, Lars, wanted us to do something yesterday after I’d finished work, so when I got home and after having a nice shower, dressed in a rather ugly towel, he called, asking if I still were up for maybe a BBQ. Having no other plans except staying at home, possibly be very bored, of course I said yes. Around 20-30 minutes passed before he came to pick me up in his gorgeous BMW cab. We then went to pick up IdaPida, went shopping for some food to actually throw on the barbecue, he being a gentleman paying for the whole shabang. Went to Steinkjer to pick up the other Ida before heading home to Lars, making food. Okay Lars did most, I did however make a delicious salad to go with the chicken. It was very yummy indeed.

Triming off some of that amazing food we played a bit of Frisbee, we actually got quite good! As I had work today, I didn’t stay out too late, and were nicely tucked into my bed before midnight.

That was the biggest offer me and Ida got from the locals who wanted to buy us. Unfortunately for them, we were too expensive. So now I am back home in Norway, it is cold compared to Hurghada, Egypt, and it’s been raining. The sun however just peeked in through the window, but it has got nothing on the boiling sun down in Africa. Despite the crappy weather here up north it is kinda good being home again as well, no annoying egyptian men who wants to sell us stuff or buy us. Never ever have I felt more like a piece of meat circled by a flock of hungry Hyenas as I did walking the streets of Hurghada. That has got to be the only thing I won’t miss. Everything else were pretty much none the less epic, and the hotel we stayed in, the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel had earned their 5 stars well.

Yeah, it was kinda a great, awesome and wonderful week in Egypt, well recommended!

Summer?!

Well that’s what it bloody hell felt like today in our town of Wolverhampton. Gorgeous sunshine and a great temperature. It was the great setting for some apartment viewing. And boy, now we really REALLY wanna move. They looked great the ones we looked at, gonna be so amazing getting out of this cold rotten house, that I btw do like, don’t get me wrong. It’s just soooooo cold!! 

Then between the viewings we went by HMV to see if FIT was in stock, the wasn’t even tho there was a poster on the door saying he was, boo. Cute was tho. I was just really there to get Hairspray (the newest one of course), love the movie, and somehow ended up with 8 movies. So I got Hairspray, Without A Paddle 1 & 2, the mummy triology, Juno and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. We watched the last one when we got home, and we both fell in love with Robbie, the musician (BASS-PLAYER!) who was just a bit too good to be true tbh. WE WANT ONE!! EACH!!! Haven’t you seen the movie, see it, it’s fun, sweet and makes you go “awwww why can’t life be like the movies” I also totally fell in love with a song from it, Ultraviolet. Check it out, it’s rockin’.
